59th Annual Autumn Glory Festival

The annual Autumn Glory Festival is a five-day celebration of autumn and local fall foliage, organized with the Garrett County Chamber of Commerce (Mountain Maryland Gateway to the West Heritage Area). Title sponsor: BILT Construction.

Signature events (2026)

• Kick-Off Reception & Dinner— Wednesday, October 7, 2026, McHenry Lodge at Wisp Resort. Meet Autumn Glory King Jaxxton Miller and Queen Jayden Weaver; Golden Ambassador and Volunteer of the Year awards; official photo canvas auction (proceeds to royalty tuition assistance).
• Maryland State Banjo, Mandolin & Fiddle Championships— Friday, October 9, 2026. Presented by the Town of Oakland and the Greater Oakland Business Association. Contact Town of Oakland: 301.334.2691.
• Autumn Glory Grand Feature Parade— Saturday, October 10, 2026, begins1 pmRoute: Omar Street through downtown Oakland along 2nd Street, Alder Street, ending on 3rd Street near Fox's Pizza Den. Concessions on Green Street across from Naylor's Hardware.
• Fall Foliage Driving Tours— self-guided short (~55 min / 26 miles) and extended (~1 hr 45 min / 62 miles) tours starting from the Garrett County Visitors Center, 15 Visitors Center Drive, McHenry, MD 21541.
