India crossed 300 GW of non-fossil installed capacity in July 2026, achieving over 60% of its 500 GW 2030 target, with 44.61 GW of solar capacity added in FY2025–26 and approximately US$45.72 billion in FDI attracted between FY2014 and FY2026. Karnataka, the host state, accounts for around 10.24% of India's renewable-energy capacity, generates 48.1% of its electricity from renewable sources, hosts 400+ RE ecosystem companies, and saw commitments of over ₹56,000 crore in sector investments.
