Chairman, representative director and presidentThe 23rd JAPAN Drug Store Show, held in August 2023, was a huge success. 475 companies displayed at 1,310 booths, and 58.872 people visited. All the companies and organizations who supported and exhibited at the event deserve our sincere gratitude. Since May 2023 when the classification for the new coronavirus was reduced to Category 5, events have been held all over the world. The number of visitors has also increased. This year's show should have more visitors. The show is now complete. Next year, we hope to have even more visitors from China returning to Japan.The Japan Chain Drug Store Association is celebrating its 25th Anniversary in June 2024. It was founded as a non-profit organization. New initiatives have been launched in line with the Healthy Life Station’' plan, announced in 2022. These initiatives will enhance Japan's medical system, and the functions drugstores are expected to fulfill, including treatment support and self-care promotion.This show will be the 24th one. We want to spread this concept and enhance collaboration across the industry. More than 22,000 stores are in operation. We are rapidly approaching our long-term goal of reaching 10 trillion yen in sales by 2025. G.
