Montana Folk Festivali 2026
The Montana Folk Festival is a free, three‑day outdoor event in Butte, Montana (July 10‑12, 2026). It showcases a wide range of traditional and world‑music performances across multiple stages, featuring national acts and Montana’s own folk artists. The lineup includes Indigenous groups (Little Mountain Cree Drum), Asian instruments (Chinese erhu), Filipino rondalla, Norwegian hardanger fiddle, Texas honky‑tonk, Irish folk, Zydeco, mariachi, Pakistani Pashto, Malian Wassoulou, Indian Kuchipudi dance, bluegrass, blues, cumbia, Puerto Rican Cuatro, Arabic vocals, gospel, and Haitian music. In addition to music, the festival offers a First Peoples’ Market, a Montana Traditions market, diverse food vendors, a family area, traditional art markets, and folklife demonstrations/workshops that highlight Montana’s heritage. The event is supported by sponsors, volunteers, and donations to keep it free, and it serves as a cultural tourism engine highlighting the state’s natural and cultural wonders.
