Bokmässan 2026, Sweden's largest literary event, runs 24‑27 September at Svenska Mässan, Gothenburg. The fair’s two main themes are Folkbildning (public education) and Spel (games), shaping the exhibition floor and program. Guest of Honour Québec highlights Nordic‑Canadian literary ties. Core categories include the Årets program (award‑winning titles), Barnområdet (a 2,000 m² children’s zone with books, authors, crafts and activities), Bibliotek på Bokmässan, Bokmässan by Night, Crimetime, and Förskola och skola, offering sessions for educators and early‑year professionals. In 2025 the fair attracted over 95,000 visitors and 775 exhibitors across 11,300 m²; similar scale is expected for 2026.
